The SpaceRockers

The SpaceRockers performing at 8.0s in downtown fort worth A couple of weeks ago, a group of friends and I saw one of the best cover bands that the DFW area has to offer. Their name of course are the SpaceRockers. The band is known for taking their song request from some alien from space while dodging laser beams, walking in uncharted space, and playing awesome songs from today and the 80's. If the "Wow: Now that is what I call music" cd had a concert with an over the top space theme, this would be it.

The band played everything from Journey to Flo-Rida to Vanilla Ice. The show started around 9, but the most of us got at 8.0s around 7 in order to pay no cover and also to get a few drinks under our belt before the show started. The show was pretty entertaining but I wish they played more music from the 80s era, but overall, it was pretty damn good. Below you can also find a somewhat audioable video from that night.

Boonesville

I spent this past weekend in a small town called Boonesville. A group of friends and I went there to go for Pegg's (Cody's mom) birthday party.

Boonesville is in the country, where people can just go out to the side of thier house and start shooting guns with no worry of johnny law showing up. We play dominoes, horseshoes, and stayed up the whole night at a camp fire.It was a real great time. Below you will see a priceless video of Laura shooting a gun for the first time.

Flight of the Conchords, U2, and Metallica

Yep, that is right, I am going to see all of these bands in concert this summer! The Flight of the Conchords concert will be the first one I go to on May 5th. The other two won't be until October though, but the wait is still worth it.
